Mixed Emotions

Moving is mixed emotions. It is sadness at what we are leaving behind, a farewell to a comfort level we are familiar with, the security of things we know for sure. It is excitement at the new adventure, the unknown, the discovery of what has changed, what we have forgotten about, a re-encounter. It is safety to the return of what we knew, left behind, the renew with what we are accustom to, old habits. Since I am in the midst of making lists for our upcoming move, here is one of What I’ll miss, and what I look forward to:

Brazil : (what I’ll miss…)
the tranquility
the smiles
the sun
the flowers
the beach
the welcome
the attention to children
the help
the friends
the prices
the house
the garden

France : (what I look forward to…)
the museums
the art
the opera
the quality
the food
the Wednedsay & Saturday Marchés
the supermarkets
the choices and variety
the caliber of the highways
the beauty
the family
the house
